Qingdao, Shandong province, and Adelaide, Australia, sought cooperation at an investment seminar during the Qingdao International Beer Festival, with the seminar taking place on Aug 13.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of ties between South Australia and Shandong, and the 15th anniversary of city-level ties between Adelaide and Qingdao, said Adelaide mayor Martin Haese, adding that Adelaide and Qingdao arranged the investment seminar for businesses.
This year’s Qingdao International Beer Festival adopted an exotic style and took place in partnership with the Adelaide Fringe, one of the world's largest arts festivals, originating in South Australia.
Meng Qingsheng, deputy chief of Huangdao district, said the cooperation at the beer festival will further enhance economic and cultural links between the two regions.
